Overview

Experience a thrilling Masai Mara-L. Nakuru-L. Naivasha Safari. This safari will take you to Masai Mara national reserve, in Narok County, Kenya, which is world famous for its exceptional population of lions, leopards and cheetahs, and the annual migration of zebra, Thomson’s gazelle, and wildebeest to and from the Serengeti every year from July to October, known as the Great Migration.

You will easily view the big cats and the big five in this game reserve. Maasai Mara is also home to many members of the colorful Maasai tribe. Lake Nakuru has best been known for its thousands, sometimes millions of flamingos nesting along the shores and rich wildlife including Rothschild giraffes and black rhinos.

Day 1:
Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve

On the day of your arrival, you will be picked-up from Nairobi. You will then depart for Maasai Mara National Game Reserve via the Great Rift Valley with a stopover at the viewpoint for some breathtaking photographs. You will then proceed to arrive Masai Mara in time for lunch, check in and enjoy short relaxation. Later enjoy evening game drive. Dinner & overnight stay at your Camp/Lodge.

Day 2:
Full Day Game Viewing – Annual Migration

After breakfast, leave the lodge with picnic lunch for a full day game viewing in this famous national reserve. You shall spot thousands of wildlife including Buffalos, hippos in the Mara River, lion, rhino, giraffe, wildebeest, zebra, warthog, hyena, jackal, wild dog, leopard, many kinds of antelope and elephant. The annual wildebeest migration, a once in a lifetime natural wonder, occurs in the Mara from July to September where millions of wildebeest and zebra migrate from the Serengeti in search of abundant water and pasture. Maasai Mara is also home to many members of the colorful Maasai tribe who may be seen around the borders of the park-Moran’s (warriors) loping across the plains, young boys herding goats, or elders grouped under a tree discussing matters of the day. Later in the evening, return to the Camp/Lodge for dinner & overnight.

Day 3:
Masai Mara – L. Nakuru

Early morning game drive. Return to the camp/lodge for breakfast. Depart for Lake Nakuru with picnic lunch en-route. Arrive in Nakuru late in the afternoon. Check in at the hotel/lodge. Enjoy Evening Game drive. Lake Nakuru National Park is one of the smallest but best game parks in Africa. The soda lake is home to a sea of pink flamingos and the surrounding parkland offers the closest view you’re likely to get of a white rhino. Other park residents include leopards, buffaloes and hippos. The park is best explored in the golden sun of the late afternoon. You can circle the lake clockwise in your car, and then drive to the top of Baboon Cliff for a stunning sunset view. Dinner and Overnight at the hotel/lodge.

Day 4:
L. Nakuru – L. Naivasha

Breakfast at the hotel/lodge. After breakfast, morning game drive at Lake Nakuru and later depart for Lake Naivasha arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon spent at leisure with an option to take a boat ride with a visit to Crescent Island(extra cost). Lake Naivasha is a beautiful freshwater lake, fringed by thick papyrus is almost 13 km’s across, but its waters are shallow with an average depth of five metres. The waters of the lake draw a great range of game to these shores. Giraffes wander among the acacia, Buffalo wallow in the swamps and Colobus monkeys call from the treetops while the Lakes large hippo populations sleep the day out in the shallows. Dinner and overnight at the hotel/lodge.

Day 5:
L. Naivasha – Nairobi

After breakfast, proceed to Hell’s Gate National Park famous for its natural geysers, star rock towers and geothermal steam that make it one of the most atmospheric parks in Africa. While in the park, You can opt to walk or drive on your safari mini bus. This is the only national park in Kenya that can be explored by foot and cycling. Resident wildlife are Giraffe, Zebra, Impala, Grants Gazelle, Warthog and Buffalo. You will also have the chance to explore the gorges where our tour guide will explain and guide on the trek. After trekking the gorge, drive back to Nairobi with lunch en-route (own cost). Arrive early evening.
