Begin your journey at the rugged and semi-desert landscape of Samburu National Reserve, nestled in the Rift Valley Province. Named after the indigenous Samburu people, this reserve beckons with its remote charm and ancient traditions. Immerse yourself in the nomadic way of life of the Samburu tribe, known for their deep connection to the land and distinctive culture. Amidst the arid plains, encounter elusive wildlife such as reticulated giraffes, Grevy’s zebras, and majestic elephants, thriving in this harsh yet captivating environment.

Next, venture to the shores of Lake Nakuru National Park, a sanctuary teeming with an array of avian wonders and iconic African species. We depart Nairobi in the morning and drive south along the Central Kenya Highlands and arrive in Ashnil Aruba in time for lunch. You can spend the afternoon swimming and relaxing before we set off for an evening game drive, your first taste of wildlife encounter.The Samburu National Reserve is also the home of Kamunyak, a lioness famous for adopting oryx calves.

Early morning game drive, Breakfast at the lodge/camp and afternoon game drives. Samburu National Reserve has its backdrop the great table mountain Ololokwe. Samburu is also home to the third of Kenya’s giraffe species – the rare Reticulated Giraffe (only found in the Northern parks). This is also, where you see the long-necked Gerenuk gazelle and the straight-horned Beisa Oryx antelope. Dinner and overnight at the camp/lodge.

After early morning breakfast, check out and proceed for a game drive en route to Lake Nakuru, a birdlife heaven, at the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Arrive for lunch, check in and relax as you await for the evening game drive. Lake Nakuru National Park is one of the best game parks in Africa. The soda lake is home to a sea of pink flamingos and the surrounding parkland offers the closest view you’re likely to get of a white rhino. Other park residents include leopards, buffaloes, hippos, warthogs, zebras, and giraffes. Dinner and Overnight at the hotel/lodge.

This day after breakfast, proceed to the famous Masai Mara Game Reserve on a drive along the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Arrive in time for lunch, check in at Camp/Lodge and enjoy your meal as you relax. Afternoon game drives to explore the Masai Mara Game Reserve returning to the Lodge/Camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, leave the Camp/lodge with picnic lunch for a full day game viewing in this famous national reserve. You shall spot thousands of wildlife including Buffalos, hippos in the Mara River, lion, rhino, giraffe, wildebeest, zebra, warthog, hyena, jackal, wild dog, leopard, many kinds of antelope and elephant. The annual wildebeest migration, a once in a lifetime natural wonder, occurs in the Mara from July to September where millions of wildebeest and zebra migrate from the Serengeti in search of abundant water and pasture. Maasai Mara is also home to many members of the colorful Maasai tribe who may be seen around the borders of the park-Moran’s (warriors) loping across the plains, young boys herding goats, or elders grouped under a tree discussing matters of the day. Later in the evening, return to the Camp/Lodge for dinner & overnight.Â

After breakfast have a morning game drive exiting the park. Lunch will be served en route. You will also visit a souvenir market (if time allows). Later in the afternoon arrive in Nairobi where your safari will end.
