Experience the wonders of Tsavo National Park on an unforgettable Kenya safari, where you’ll explore both Tsavo East and Tsavo West National Parks. Once part of a single park, these reserves are now separated and situated in the Coast Province of Kenya, nestled between Nairobi City and Mombasa.

Tsavo East National Park, one of the world’s largest game reserves, boasts an abundance of wildlife, including iconic red elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, lions, and leopards. Marvel at the sight of pods of hippos, crocodiles basking in the sun, and a myriad of bird species, with over 500 recorded in the park.

Meanwhile, Tsavo West offers a diverse landscape of grasslands, acacia vegetation, open plains, and savannah, providing habitats for a wide variety of wildlife. Explore the famous Mzima Springs, home to hippos and crocodiles, and the Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary, dedicated to the protection of endangered rhinoceros. Keep your eyes peeled for eastern black rhinos, hippos, Cape buffaloes, elephants, leopards, and lions, along with smaller animals like the bush baby, hartebeest, lesser kudu, and Masai giraffe.

DAY 1: NAIROBI – TSAVO EAST NATIONAL PARK

07:00hrs Pick up from a central place, depart Nairobi and drive to Tsavo East National park. Game drive en-route to your camp/lodge arriving in time for lunch. Check in, have lunch and relax. In the evening, proceed for game drive in search of wildlife. The park is renowned for its large numbers of elephants and the famous man eating lions. In 1898, as many as 135 railway workers were attacked and killed by man-eating lions. A variety of animals can be seen in the park such as lions, leopard, cheetah, zebras, giraffes, serval, antelopes, kongoni, lesser kudu, Oryx, klipspringer, impala, stripped hyena, ostriches, gazelles, buffalos, elephants and many more. Variety of migratory and native birds are seen. Dinner and overnight at the camp/lodge.

DAY 2: TSAVO EAST – TSAVO WEST NATIONAL PARK

After an early breakfast leave Tsavo East for Tsavo West with picnic lunch.  Enjoy a full day game drive. Tsavo West is best known for the Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary, Mzima Springs, the lava landscape and the ability to climb mountains. Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary is a fenced area where Tsavo’s growing population of endangered black rhino are protected. The security offered by fenced sanctuaries allows rhinos to live and reproduce without the constant threat of poaching. Mzima Springs are fed daily by 250 million liters of water gushing from the chyulu hills provide an oasis of green, an underwater hippo viewing chamber, two nature trials and some unique picnic spots. The molten lava that forms the shetani lava flow spewed from the earth just some years ago and it fiery furry was thought by the local people to be the work of devil, hence its name, which means devil in Swahili.

DAY 3: TSAVO NATIONAL PARK-NAIROBI

Breakfast at the Camp/Lodge. Depart for Nairobi arriving late afternoon. Lunch en-route (own cost). On arrival drop of at your hotel or Airport.
